Join the Meth Action Team The Spokane Meth Action Team meets every third Tuesday of the month at the Regional Health District (1101 W College Ave), rooms 320-321, from 8:30am-10:00am. Our membership is made-up of a diverse group of professionals and community members that have a common goal - Working together to address methamphetamine use and production in Spokane County and in turn Eastern Washington. Everyone is invited and encouraged to join our group. Please call the Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council's (GSSAC) Prevention Center for more information: (509)922-8383. Become a Meth Watch Member Becoming a Meth Watch Member is easier than ever! You can join our team of over 17 retail firms and over 10 financial and security firms. As you are probably already aware, there are numerous benefits for your business: from free advertising in our brochure and community events to monthly newsletters and employee education. You will find the links to several of the materials offered on the home page (Supply Ordering Information/Memo, FAQ's, and Suspicious Transaction Report) and we can provide you with all of the other materials and support for FREE through our office. Please call the Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council's (GSSAC) Prevention Center to get started: (509)922-8383 OR email us. Host a Community Presentation Create a public forum, invite us to your club or organization. We have a one-hour (shorter by request) adult oriented PowerPoint presentation on methamphetamine use, abuse, and production. The presentation offers general meth education, to include use patterns, labs, social consequences, crime, drug endangered children, as well as treatment and prevention efforts throughout Spokane County and Washington State. There are a variety of presenters with varying backgrounds available throughout Spokane and surrounding counties. Please call (509)922-8383 or email us to schedule your event today! Call for Volunteer Opportunities The Meth Watch Program would not exist nor have the success it has had if it were not for volunteers. We can always use a helping hand to produce/prepare event materials, distribute materials, make business contacts, and schedule community presentations. If you are interested in joining our team, please call GSSAC's Prevention Center at (509)922-8383 or email us to get more information. |
